Indian Premier League, Kolkata Knight Riders vs Mumbai Indians: We Have Not Play Our Best Cricket Still, Says Mumbai Indians Director Cricket Zaheer Khan
Zaheer Khan, Mumbai Indians’ Director of Cricket Operations, believes that the franchise has not played its best cricket yet, but the positive thing is that each player is familiar with it very quickly. He gave this message to the entire camp after winning by 49 runs over Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL. Mumbai Indians shared a video on their official Twitter handle and in which Zaheer can be seen addressing every player in the lineup. “The bowl started with an innings and that set the tone for the innings. I think these are the things that are coming together and that’s what we’re talking about,” said Zaheer.

“Things are going to happen at the right time for us, if you ask me if we have played our best cricket, we have not, but what is exciting is that we are adopting very quickly and that is the exciting part when I am watching this, ”he said.
Mumbai Indians beat KKR by 49 runs for their first win in this year’s IPL. Rohit Sharma was awarded Man of the Match for his innings of 80 runs.
Batting first, Mumbai posted a total of 195/5 in the scheduled 20 overs. Rohit Sharma scored 80 runs while Suryakumar Yadav scored 47 runs.
KKR bowlers bowled small balls continuously and Rohit redeemed those balls completely.
Defending 195 runs, Mumbai performed brilliantly and Trent Boult, James Pattinson, Jaspreet Bumrah, and Rahul Chahar all gave away two wickets each.
Bumrah got crucial wickets in the same over of both Eoin Morgan and Andre Russell.
In the end, KKR’s Pat Cummins hit a quick 33-run knock, but Mumbai had sealed the victory by then.
Mumbai Indians will play the next match on 28 September, Monday from Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
