IPL 2020, CSK vs DC: Virender Sehwag’s great suggestion for CSK batsmen
Taking a dig at the lack of intensity shown by the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batsmen, former India batsman Virender Sehwag on Saturday asked the MS Dhoni-led team to have some “glucose” before the match started. As of his remarks, CSK lost in the Indian Premier League (IPL) by 44 runs against the Delhi Capitals on Friday.
Sehwag tweeted, “Chennai batsmen are not going to settle down. Glucose will have to come.”
Chennai batsmen are just not going. Glucose will have to come to bat, bat next match.

CSK were unable to chase 176 against Delhi and were limited to just 131/7, facing a 44-run defeat.
Dhoni once again came down to bat at number six. He was out in the middle with CSK’s 98/4 score in the 16th over.
After the match, even captain MS Dhoni admitted that there was a lack of favor in the batting department.
He said, “I don’t think it was a good game for us. The wicket was a little slow, there was no dew, but I think we have a lack of steam in the batting department. We need to figure that out. Brake. Dhoni said in the post-match presentation, “The next seven days are the best chance we can get: give them the match simulation and find the right balance.”
CSK has played three matches in IPL 2020 so far and has won only one match against Mumbai Indians in their opening match.
Even in the match against Rajasthan Royals, the Dhoni-led CSK had to bear severe criticism for the attitude adopted during the mass chase of 217.
Dhoni came to bat at number seven in that match, and the move did not go down well with many former cricketers.
CSK will now take on Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Dubai International Stadium on 2 October.
