IPL 2020, KXIP vs MI, Kings XI Punjab vs Mumbai Indians: Head to head match status

Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) is set to face Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 13th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi. KL Rahul’s team finished fifth in the standings, while Rohit Sharma’s outfit finished sixth. The UAE defending champion MI is in sharp shape in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). He started his campaign with a five-wicket defeat to Chennai Super Kings (CSK), followed by a 49-run win over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and a super-over loss to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Meanwhile, KXIP has been outstanding in batting, but has not been able to convert it easily into a win. He made his season debut with a super over loss to Delhi Capital (DC), followed by a 97-run win over RCB and a four-wicket loss to Rajasthan Royals (RR).

KXIP batsman Mayank Agarwal is in top form running in the IPL 2020. The Indian cricketer ranks second on the list of most runs scored by a batsman this season. He is 221 runs behind captain Rahul (222). Mayank has also slammed a ton (106). His strike rate this season has been 170.00. The 29-year-old has also hit a half-century.

His boundary count includes 21 fours and 11 sixes, which reinforces his powerful debut this season. He may have an important role against MI, when against the likes of Jaspreet Bumrah.

It will be interesting to see if the young cricketer Ishaan Kishan makes his nuanced knock in MI’s previous determination. He led his team to victory with a strong 99-run innings against RCB, winning the Super Over. Kishan recorded a strike rate of 134.80 in place of the injured Saurabh Tiwari in that match.

He also hit two fours and nine sixes against MI. He will have a bigger task in hand than the likes of Ravi Bishnoi.

In terms of head to head, the two teams have faced each other 24 times in the IPL. MI has won 13 times, meanwhile KXIP has recorded 11 wins.
