IPL 2020, RCB vs MI, Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Mumbai Indians Preview: Battle of two superstars of India
Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Mumbai Indians will showcase two of India’s biggest stars – Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. RCB vs MI is one of the most followed games in the IPL thanks to some huge international stars on the Clash roster. The Dubai ground will witness a clash with AB de Villiers, Aaron Finch, Kieron Pollard, Jaspreet Bumrah. However, both teams go into the match based on opposite performances and results.
While Mumbai Indians avenged the first day’s defeat for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by beating Kolkata Knight Riders in their second match in Abu Dhabi, RCB, which had outperformed Sunrisers Hyderabad in their first match, was given the Kings XI Punjab defeated him in the last match.
Both teams have a loss and a win in the two matches they have played but the way RCB wins in their chase against KXIP will give Mumbai an edge.
Two captains and superstars of Indian cricket have also played brilliant innings with the bat so far in IPL 2020. Rohit Sharma failed to deliver as the IPL 2020 opener against CSK, but came back after scoring a brilliant 80 from 54 balls. Six sixes) to send an early warning to their rivals.
On the other hand, Virat Kohli has struggled to go through the opening two matches of RCB, which would be a worrying sign for the team. The RCB captain was dismissed for 14 against SRH and the team was piled on for 109 in 17 overs, scoring 1 in 5 balls against Kings XI Punjab.
He also missed two easy catches off KL Rahul, one of the best fielders in the world. But what better platform than Rohit Sharma to make a comeback and make a statement compared to the defending champions.
RCB bowling is once again a cause for concern for the team. Umesh Yadav has performed brilliantly in two matches. The Indian fast bowler went for 48 runs in 4 overs against SRH and was then scored 35 runs in his 3 overs by KXIP.
Dale Steyn has also struggled for his stride and has taken a lot in both games. However, this is not at all disappointing and doom for RCB. Yuzvendra Chahal has been absolutely fantastic for the team. He took three wickets for just 18 runs, spinning RCB to victory against SRH, while in the match against Punjab, he was able to score just 25 runs in his four overs with the big wicket of Mayank Agarwal.
Meanwhile, Mumbai is hinting at its best after a debut. Saurabh Tiwari stood for his team in defeat against CSK, while Suryakumar Yadav put his hand in victory over KKR, giving Rohit the company.
Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard came to Mumbai as well and took 5 wickets for 195 runs against KKR.
Trent Boult, James Pattinson and Jasprit Bumrah are a fearsome trio who took two wickets against KKR, while spinner Rahul Chahar was also impressed with the ball.
