With Rajasthan Royals (RR) starting the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 campaign against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on 22 September, captain Steve Smith looks like he is well prepared for the match, Pure session in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with confidence in the first performance. The Australian cricketer joined the Royals camp a few days ago, and made coronovirus testing mandatory. In the video, he had an aura of seriousness, practicing some shots, including some big ones. At the end of the video, he also gives the cameraman a shot, with a smile on his face.
RR faced CSK at Sharjah Cricket Stadium. CSK have already played their first match, when they defeated Mumbai Indians (MI) in the season opener.
The Royals have won the IPL only once in 2008. Captain Smith will have an important role this season. In his IPL career, he has recorded 2022 runs in 81 matches, with the highest score being 101 runs.
His strike rate is also 128.95. Smith has eight fifties and a ton, filled with 180 fours and 49 sixes.
IPL 2020 has been transferred to UAE due to increasing COVID-19 cases in India. Apart from Sharjah, other places are Dubai International Cricket Stadium and Sheikh Zayed Stadium.
