Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) started their IPL 2020 campaign with a 10-run win over SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Dubai on Monday. RCB captain Virat Kohli was quite pleased with how his teammates performed under pressure to start the tournament at a high level, something they had not been able to do in the past. The RCB posted a video on its Twitter handle in which the players started the victory expressing their feelings. Total defending has never been for RCB in years and Kohli was full of praise for his bowlers who bowled brilliantly to defend the total in difficult situations.

It congratulated the bowlers for “showing too much character” and sticking to their game plan despite bowling with a wet ball, which is difficult to catch.

It was the power-hitting of AB de Villiers that helped RCB reach a competitive total. Describing his game plan after the match, he said: “My goal was to reach 160 when I was batting. I was sure I was on the right track. I was very happy that we were able to reach 160 . I think whatever. Low would have put us under a lot of pressure.
