Sunrisers Hyderabad made their campaign debut against Royal Challengers Bangalore in a possible high level competition in Dubai. The front runners from SRH will have David Warner, captain and gunner to return. Though it will be a tough challenge for RCB fast bowlers, it may well overshadow Yuzvendra Chahal to ensure that he does not wreak havoc in the middle overs if Warner overtakes the fast bowlers. . Chahal needed to face the cunning of his chess player to counter Warner’s blustering power game.

Warner was ahead and in 2016 when SRH won the IPL title and would once again be looking for glory. He has been one of the top of the cricket ball and the UAE will face new challenges in this regard.

But with 4706 in 126 matches with four centuries and 44 half-centuries, Warner can walk in either side. Add to this that the strike rate is 142.39.

Chahal has taken 100 IPL wickets in 84 IPL matches with a very respectable economy of 7.78. He will be expecting some purchases from the track, as with all the new rules on how the cricket ball will be treated, as well as potential for dew, it can be a tough challenge, especially against someone like Warner.

So when the hammer meets the scalpel, it can look like an unequal competition. But Chahal is a bit lacking in Warner’s armor and we can join a real competition.
