Firmly Opposes Use Of National Security As An Excuse: China

A day after India imposed a ban on 43 more mobile apps, Beijing reacted and “firmly opposed” the move.

Spokesperson of the Chinese embassy in India Counselor Ji Rong said, “We oppose the Indian side’s repeated use of “national security” as an excuse to prohibit some Mobile apps with Chinese background.”

The spokesperson also posted the embassy’s response to a media query on the matter and said it hoped India would rectify the discriminatory practices.

On Tuesday, India blocked another batch of 43 Chinese mobile apps, including Alibaba Group Holding’s e-commerce app AliExpress.

The mobile apps which have been blocked were engaged in activities prejudicial to India’s sovereignty, integrity and security.
