Indian Premier League 2020, Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Delhi Capitals: David Warner prepares for SRH with “Captain’s Corner”

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have made a disappointing start to their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 campaign, losing both their games so far. In both competitions, it was his middle order that was found desirable after captain David Warner and his opening partner Johnny Bairstow were dismissed. Nos. 4, 5, 6, and 7 managed 12, 0, 7 and 6 against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and could not accelerate to death in their second match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). However, Warner clarified that the players are working on their skills in the net, but there has been a lack of execution on the field. SRH posted a video on social media in which Captain’s Corner was written, where Warner gave a glimpse of the team’s pre-match training session.

He said, ‘Today the plan is to bring the middle order here, batting first against some old balls. Then the top order will come here which will face some new balls, and we try and execute as much as possible, ”said Warner.

The likes of Bairstow, Kane Williamson, Abhishek Sharma, and Priyam Garg were spotted by bowlers Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Khalil Ahmed and Siddharth Kaul.

He said, ‘The bowlers were bowling death. target practice. No change. Just trying to work on our skills, ”said Warner.

The captain himself practiced death-over hitting, indicating that he could play the role of anchor and bat through the innings.

“For 20 minutes I was performing as best I could for the death overs,” he said.

“The thing is that we are working on our skills. Let’s practice it here in training, and we don’t get into sports here and there.

“We know that we have practiced and hope that people will perform against the batsmen in and out of the game,” he said.

SRH play the Delhi Capitals in their third IPL 2020 match on Tuesday in Abu Dhabi.

Delhi have been undefeated in the tournament so far, defeating Kings XI Punjab in one super over in their first match and Chennai Super Kings by 44 runs in the second.
